Industry News

Wow, what a year 2020 was…! As it has with nearly every company worldwide, COVID-19 has permanently altered the way Takeuchi views and conducts business – including several months of “no travel” and complex decisions on when and how to meet as individuals and in groups.

No doubt, we’re still feeling the effects of the pandemic. Changes in customer demand are driving shipping and imports while simultaneously causing a logistics nightmare for container and shipping providers worldwide. Takeuchi has taken these challenges in stride, changing its business practices to continuing performing well in these changing times. While globally, construction equipment sales were down in 2020, Takeuchi saw a continued increase in compact equipment demand. I’m extremely proud of how our team members responded to COVID-19, not missing a single beat as we saw record parts orders and successfully introduced new machines.

As we emerged from 2020, we saw the opportunity to further help our dealers and end-user customers by offering a more complete compact equipment package. That’s why we’ve recently launched a complete line of Takeuchi-branded attachments. These attachments are designed and constructed specifically for Takeuchi equipment with performance-matched hydraulics and operating parameters. Sold and serviced by our Takeuchi dealer network, these attachments can enhance your ability to get the job done faster and with better results.  Please check out all the new attachments online or at your nearest Takeuchi dealer.

All that being said, here we are in 2021, working hard to satisfy increasing demand from our rental and dealer partners. This year is shaping up to be another record year for Takeuchi in compact equipment sales and parts. Like many manufacturers, we’re experiencing longer lead times from vendors and suppliers. However, we’re doing our best to overcome these challenges so that we can continue providing all our valued customers with the best compact equipment. 2021 also appears on course to be yet another growth year for Takeuchi personnel as we expand our teams in almost every department. We understand the importance of adding quality people so we can continue Takeuchi’s legacy of quality products and support.

All of us at Takeuchi thank you for being a loyal customer, and we hope that this year continues to mark the beginning of a return to more normal life for everyone. Our best wishes for a healthier, more productive and more profitable 2021!
