Industry News

On Tuesday, August 25, journalists from top construction equipment and landscape industry magazines came to Takeuchi’s U.S. headquarters in Pendergrass, Georgia. They were there for Takeuchi’s first-ever media day, an event that gave these influential individuals the opportunity to meet Takeuchi executives, product experts and marketing staff. Journalists attending included Keith Gribbins of Compact Equipment; Gianna Annunzio of Construction Equipment; Rich Olivier of Construction Equipment Guide; Curt Bennink of Equipment Today; and Sarah Webb of Landscape Management.

“Earning valuable coverage in all of these publications is extremely important for our continued success here in North America,” said Jeff Stewart, president of Takeuchi U.S. “Our customers read those publications to learn what new machine innovations are available to help them do their jobs faster, easier and better. By nurturing relationships with these journalists, we can collaborate with them to tell current and prospective customers what makes Takeuchi equipment unique.”

After touring the new Takeuchi Training Center, the attendees enjoyed lunch in its cafeteria, as well as the chance to chat with Takeuchi staff one on one. Next on the agenda were product walkarounds from Lee Padgett, compact track loader/wheel loader/attachments product manager and David Caldwell, national product manager. After getting up close and personal with the numerous machines on display, it was time for the journalists to get behind the controls of Takeuchi equipment out in the Training Center’s large demonstration yard. Finally, the marketing staff and the journalists enjoyed dinner before parting ways that evening.

“It was the perfect amount of time for an event,” said Keith Gribbins, editor of Compact Equipment magazine. “I really enjoyed the walkaround interviews, machine time was important, and it was great to spend time with the Takeuchi staff. The information I received was useful and will make good content.”

Keep looking for product announcements and insight from Takeuchi in all of those publications and more in the days, weeks and months ahead!
